The Group
Private establishments play an essential role in the French healthcare system,
managing 85% of all outpatient surgeries, 60% of all inpatient surgeries and
50% of all cancer treatments. However, they are faced with enormous constraints
that limit both their effectiveness and development.
Subject to stringent government regulation, concerning everything from pricing
structures to human resources, these clinics are moving more and more towards
private sector-style management, relying on heavy investments to maintain their
medical facilities. State-enforced lower tariffs for medical services result
in centers looking for new ways to boost productivity in order to remain financially
viable.
Given these conditions, several establishments have been forced to close their
doors when a clinic is not profitable or can’t find a buyer. In 15 years, the
number of private healthcare centers has plummeted from 1,800 to a little over
700.

healthcare sector Vitalia’s innovative concept breathes new life into the
floundering French healthcare sector. Vitalia’s development strategy focuses
on taking over and reorganizing existing structures while re-vamping their medical
and financial performance. Future growth is ensured by gaining authorization
to launch new, cutting-edge services. All of these factors underpin Vitalia’s
mission to bring quality healthcare closer to the people who need it most.
Vitalia’s medical centers are clustered in regional networks, each of which
works in partnership with the group headquarters . Focusing on the three
largest French regions, Northeast (Nancy, Troyes, Romilly-sur-Seine), Central
(Orléans, Nevers, Clermont-Ferrand) and Southwest (Albi, Auch), each network
has specialist centers addressing specific needs, such as urology, orthopedics,
oncology, ophthalmology and cardio-vascular care.
Vitalia’s range of services addresses the problem of offering healthcare
to clearly identified populations while fighting against regional disparities
. This solution also responds to the supervisory authorities’ challenge
to optimize regional density and organization of healthcare resources.
In line with Vitalia’s philosophy to integrate into the national French healthcare
system, its clinics cooperate closely with local health administrators, outpatient
and rehabilitation centers and retirement homes. Additionally, Vitalia develops
partnerships with public hospitals as well as private care facilities.
