The Group
Vitalia’s organization promotes efficient administration and therapeutic measures,
all easily accessible to patients and in line with the national French healthcare
system . What’s more, practitioners, caregivers and staff are unified by a sense
of responsibility underlined by Vitalia’s corporate culture.
Each medical center in the Vitalia network enjoys autonomous management with
its own president (usually a doctor) and director. In addition, Vitalia clinics
are endowed with a committee for strategic development, which oversees the entire
ensemble of medical staff.
Vitalia center directors base their strategies on a 5-year development plan
, leveraging on the group’s internal administrative resources and decisions,
easily accessible via Vitalia’s Intranet site. A detailed monthly review of
every center’s activities and financial results allows for consistent follow-up
and corrective measures to be put in place if necessary.
The doctors in residence are consulted about the organization of treatments
as well the choice of medical and surgical facilities . In addition, doctors
are able to maintain their independent status while working at Vitalia centers.
Vitalia’s organization allows for long-term flexibility and freedom in local
management – each region is responsible for implementing a long-term, localized
version of the overall group strategy. An external management company coordinates
all human and technical resources for the centers, including quality control
and accounting, maintenance, purchasing and IT support. This system enables
directors to focus on their core business of overseeing treatment plans and
day-to-day administrative management of their respective centers.
In order to support a closely controlled, balanced expansion of the group, Vitalia’s
management board has implemented a centralized, high-tech assessment program
for medical centers already in the network as well as potential projects. This
program, furnished by Blackstone, is based on an intricate system of databases,
decision-making and follow-up tools and alert mechanisms.
Last but not least, Dr. Le Dorze and his team guide Vitalia’s organization and
development on a national level based on the directives and strategy of the
group’s shareholders. The group’s board regularly consults Vitalia’s national
strategic committee, which is made up of representatives from various regions.
